Cora's Cabin

Step back in time to a slower, quieter pace when rocking on the front porch watching the horses play in the field; napping to the sounds of the water rolling by; sitting on a rock by the creek contemplating the possibilities of life or simply taking a walk in the woods was the perfect way to spend a day, a weekend or a week. Drinking in the sights and sounds of nature is what a stay at Cora's Cabin is all about.

Originally an 1882 one-room schoolhouse (one of 7 in the Highlands community) it became a family cabin in 1926-2000. In 2008 it was purchased by CDF lovingly taken down board by board and rebuilt on its present site. It is an amazing cabin complete with kitchen, bath, living/dining, a second floor bedroom (with two twins and a queen bed) and front and back porches sitting on Stewart Cove Branch at the entrance to the most magical walk in the woods. Once you've stayed in Cora's Cabin you won't want to stay anywhere else!
